Restorative Yoga uses props to create comfort and safety in shapes that are held for extended time. This healing practice soothes the nervous system, increases circulation to vital organs, strengthens immunity, and promotes conscious relaxation. Slowing down invites more balance into our busy, stressful lives; teaching the body resiliency and recovery as we flow between the stress response (surviving), and our natural state (thriving). Deep rest is essential to optimal health and well-being. This practice offers tools to help navigate the effects of stress and trauma, building our capacity to care for ourselves and for others.
You will be guided to create a daily Restorative Yoga practice throughout your training so upon completion, you will be able to create and teach a Restorative Yoga Class. A written self-reflection will be required.

Yin Yoga is a slower-paced, more meditative version of the popular physical and spiritual discipline of yoga. In Yin yoga, the poses are held for a long period of time (typically three to five minutes or longer) to target the connective tissues (such as the ligaments) rather than focusing on the muscles. As a result, the asanas are more passive holds, with little muscular engagement.

Yoga Nidra, which is often referred to as “sacred yogic sleep", your body is laying down while your consciousness begins to explore new states of expansion and awareness. Experiencing the teaching of this ancient practice opens the heart and mind to understanding the vastness of consciousness in new dimensions.
During this 40-hour Yoga Nidra Teacher Training, you will learn the basic teachings of the practice, explore different styles and study sacred texts. In addition to learning about various traditional Yoga Nidra techniques such as the Himalayan Masters or Bihar School, you will be introduced to other styles such as I AM Yoga Nidra, iRest and Divine Sleep.
You will closely work with a Sankalpa (a spiritual intention) that will evolve and transform in the process of the time shared together. You will also learn about the science behind Yoga Nidra, the influence of the Koshas (5 bodies) on the practice, and the benefits that Yoga Nidra has on overall health, the nervous system, and sleeping patterns.
This training is not only about learning a new meditation technique, it is also an exploration and expansion of your inborn potential — it calls you into being truly yourself while stepping into your unique light. You will leave the training with ten unique sample Yoga Nidra scripts as well as one written by yourself in the process.
This training is offered to certified 200-hour yoga teachers that want to explore and expand both their teaching and their personal practice. If you are interested in this program but are not a registered Yoga teacher and/or do not require certification you can still participate and use this time to gain new insights into practice as ancient as life itself.
You will be guided on how to create a Yoga Nidra Practice throughout your training so upon completion, you will be able to create and teach a sample Yoga Nidra Practice. A written self-reflection will be required.

Diane has been practicing yoga and incorporating its philosophy into her life since 2001. In 2008 her practice deepened when she found the transformational benefits of Kundalini Yoga. She was inspired by her Kundalini teacher Gurmukh Kaur Khalsa’s passion for the yogic life and her contagious joyful spirit. She then wanted to share the benefits and transformation she experienced from yoga with others and became a certified yoga teacher in 2011.
Diane has dedicated herself to the practice, study, and teaching of yoga, with a deep desire to offer a welcoming environment and make yoga accessible for all people. She encourages students to cultivate inner stability, develop greater self-awareness, and shift their perspective on the world. Her classes focus on deepening connection to self, breath-initiated movement, safe alignment, and purposeful sequencing. Diane encourages people to not only accept but to embrace the totality of who they are, empowering students to contemplate and rediscover their wholeness and to explore and expand within their own body and consciousness.
Diane also enjoys helping students as well as other teachers further their study and understanding of yoga. She is passionate about teaching a variety of styles of yoga. She has trained in the disciplines of Hatha Yoga, Anusara Inspired Hatha, Kundalini Yoga, Yoga Therapy, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nidra, Gentle Somatic Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga, and Children’s Yoga.
Diane Manjeet hopes for students to find connection--mentally, physically, and spiritually--providing them with a practice that they can embody in their daily lives off the mat. She hopes that students leave her classes feeling well-rounded, deeply connected to their bodies, and most of all AWAKENED!
